Downtown Ripon shines at night.

Ripon and Green Lake are full of events this holiday weekend.

From Fourth of July Celebrations to live music, there's something for everyone.

This week’s Horicon Bank Ripon Summer Concert features Old Soul Society.

The free concert, which is sponsored by Knuth Brewing Co., takes place Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Village Green in downtown Ripon.

Old Soul Society is a Wisconsin-based group rooted in Americana with branches into folk, rock, soul, blues and more.

“The band’s focus on the craft of songwriting is displayed in the rich, textured musical layers they create to underscore the emotionally raw delivery of singer-songwriter Derek Ramnarace’s introspective and heartfelt lyrics,” according to a press release.

The concert series, which is organized by Ripon Main Street, Inc., takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Village Green located at the corner of Watson and Seward streets in Ripon.

A variety of beverages are available, and participants may bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. No carry-ins are allowed in the park because beverage sales help cover entertainment expenses.

Wisconsin’s largest outdoor flea market in Princeton City Park takes place Saturday beginning at 6 a.m. and runs through the early afternoon.

“Enjoy unique finds and treasures,” the Princeton Chamber of Commerce says.

Existing vendor information or details on becoming a vendor at the Princeton Flea Market, can be found on the Princeton website www.princetonwi.com, or by calling the Chamber office at (920) 295-3877.

A record-setting Jackpot of $3,349 is up for grabs, plus half of the night’s progressive sales if Bingo is called with 57 numbers.

Doors and concessions open at 5 p.m., with the games starting at 6:30.

The night features 13 rounds of bingo, speedy bingo and a final black-out game.

The community parade will go through town at 4 p.m., followed by live music in the park.

At dusk, the Light Up the Lake Fireworks will be shot off near the Hattie Sherwood Beach.
